Overheard at Tonight's Dinner
Excerpts of a conversation that was overheard at tonight's dinner with the kids...
(In discussion about a teacher at my daughter's school)
----------
L: "Well, some kids call her 'Mrs. Ho'"
B: "That's not nice. You shouldn't call someone that. It's kind of a bad word."
L: "It is? I thought that it meant... a garden tool."
B: "Well... it does. But, it's still kind of a bad word."
M: "No it's not. Santa says that."
B: "Uh... well... okay. It's a bad word if you call someone that. It's okay to say 'Ho, Ho Ho'."
...
L: "But, what if someone's last name is 'Ho'"? Then, you'd say... 'Hello, Mr. Ho'."
J: "Okay, that's enough Ho talk."
...
J: "Stop spinning your lettuce!"
